Our goal is to provide quality facilities, services, equipment and media--both print and non-print--to all students at all ability levels and to teach them to be responsible, independent users of these resources and to enjoy reading.

Passes are required during class time, at lunch and after school—when students are not with their classes. Students should sign in to LibraryTrac when entering the library.

Students may check out 3 items.

Students may use their ID card or their 7-digit student ID numbers in order to check out.

Books are due in three weeks (15 school days, not counting holidays). A book may be renewed unless it is on reserve for another student.  DVDs and magazines are due one week from the date of checkout.

A student may place a book that is checked out on hold. A notice will be sent to his or her 1st period teacher when the book is available.

Items can be returned before the due date.
Students should not allow other students to check out books using their ID numbers. They will be held responsible if someone else loses or damages a book.

Returned books can be placed in the book return located in the Circulation Desk.

Most reference books may not be checked out. Some encyclopedias may be checked out for overnight use at the end of seventh period and must be returned before the beginning of school the following day.

Students who move or withdraw from school must be cleared of any overdue books or fines before their withdrawal form can be signed by the Teacher Librarian.

The fine for overdue books is $.05 per day per item, assessed by the computer. There is a two-day grace period.

Any student who has an overdue item may not check out any more until it is returned and/or the fine is paid.

If a book has been lost or damaged beyond repair, the student will be charged the current replacement cost of the book or its equivalent if the book is out of print. A processing charge will be added to the cost of the book.

Report cards may be held if a student has an overdue book that has not been turned in, or a fine that has not been paid.
